Who Runs This is Abilene
This site and the accompanying social media pages were created and are managed by the Tonya Harbin Team brokered by Real Broker, LLC.
We’ve been Abilene’s top real estate team since 2015, and we
Why a real estate team runs a city guide
The honest version: people call us when they're thinking about moving to Abilene, and before they ever ask about a house, they ask the same questions. Where do we eat? What is there to do with the kids? Is the wind really that crazy? What is there to do downtown? You get the idea!
We’ve been answering those, one conversation at a time, for years. This site is us answering them once, properly, where anybody can find them.
You don't have to buy or sell anything to use it. Most people reading these guides aren't! So, whether you're new in town and want to know where to get a great breakfast burrito, or you're a lifelong Abilenean looking for something to do this weekend, this site and our social media pages are for you!
And if you aren’t living in Abilene and you’re thinking about moving here, that conversation is free, with no pressure attached!
How we write these
All of our guides are made up of places we’ve been to! As lifelong Abileneans, we don't promote places we haven't been to ourselves, or places we wouldn’t visit today!
Nobody pays to be in a guide. There are no sponsored listings and no paid placements anywhere on this site. If a business is here, it's because we think it's worth your time. That's the whole filter.
Things change constantly, so we update the guides rather than letting them rot, and we say when we aren't sure about something instead of guessing. If we get something wrong, tell us, and we'll fix it.
The podcast
This is Abilene is also a podcast. Every episode we sit down with somebody who makes this city run, from business owner to community figures we aim to get the story behind some of the biggest names in Abilene
Tell us what we missed
The best things in these guides and our event calendar come from locals telling us about them! If you think we've overlooked a place, have an event that should be on the calendar, or have a question nobody has answered yet, send it over!
